VICTIMS ARE NOT GETTING JUSTICE INSTEAD THEY ARE FACING POLICE ATROCITIES: KUNAL

PATNA----------------------------CPI(ML) state secretary Kunal said that the horrific incident of a Muslim girl student being locked in the bathroom and burnt alive by a teacher in the Chitkohra girls' middle school in Patna and the brutal police repression on the public outrage against the suspicious death of two innocent children in Indrapuri has exposed the real face of the BJP-JDU government.

Kunal said that this shameful incident of Chitkohra in the middle of the capital is shocking to the entire society. According to the incident, the girl student was set on fire by sprinkling kerosene in the school bathroom and the door was locked from outside. By the time the local people broke the door, she was badly burnt and she died while being taken to PMCH. This is not just a murder, but a direct attack on our education system and the soul of the society.

Similarly, the suspicious death of two innocent children in Indrapuri created a wave of anger and grief in the entire area. But instead of listening to their just demands, the government slapped cases on 48 innocent citizens and arrested them. The question is whether raising voice for justice is a crime in this government?

Kunal said that it has become clear that the BJP-JDU government patronizes criminals and resorts to police repression to suppress the voice of the public. The insensitive attitude towards the safety of daughters and children not only shows the failure of the government but also exposes its criminal face. CPI(ML) has put forward the following demands--The teacher Anil Kumar and the school principal, accused in the Chitkohra case, should be immediately arrested and given severe punishment. An impartial and high-level inquiry should be conducted into the suspicious death of children in Indrapuri and the cases filed against innocent citizens should be immediately withdrawn. Concrete steps should be taken from the capital to the villages to ensure the safety of girl students and women. Police repression and administrative dictatorship should be stopped immediately and action should be taken against the guilty officials.

CPI(ML) has appealed to the people of Patna and the entire state to come forward for the safety and justice of their daughters. When people holding responsible positions like teachers are also found involved in such heinous crimes, it is a serious warning for the entire society. Now is not the time to remain silent, it is time to unite and raise our voice.

CPI(ML) State Secretary Kunal informed about the incidents of vandalism and violence at the Congress headquarters by BJP goons on Friday and also strongly condemned it and said that BJP people are constantly flouting the law. To save democracy, the people will have to come out on the streets and overthrow this government.
