PATNA------------------------At the closing ceremony of the two-day workshop organized jointly by the IQAC of Ramdayalu Singh College and Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, North Bihar, the Chief Guest and Director of Higher Education, Bihar, Dr. N.K. Agarwal, said that Vedic mathematics originated from the Vedas. The Vedas are a storehouse of knowledge, from where our sages discovered the knowledge of Vedic mathematics. The Shulva Sutras are auxiliary texts of the Vedas, which provide detailed geometric knowledge for the construction of sacrificial altars. The knowledge of advanced mathematical calculations for astrology and timekeeping is also derived from Vedic mathematics. Certainly, the Vedas gave rise to an intellectual environment and practical needs, which paved the way for the development of the mathematical tradition in India. The relevance of Vedic mathematics has increased in the present times. He congratulated the students, researchers, and teachers for successfully participating in the workshop. He also congratulated the Principal and the organizing committee for successfully organizing this workshop. He said that efforts would be made to implement certificate and diploma courses in Vedic mathematics with the support of the government. On this occasion, the Special Guest and Dean of Students, Dr. V.S. Rai, said that this workshop on Vedic mathematics is an important and first step towards the overall intellectual and academic development of the students. Its successful organization will help in expanding the Indian knowledge tradition. He wished the participants well and encouraged them to remain active in continuous learning and to keep progressing academically and personally. He assured them of the full support of the teachers. He congratulated the college principal and the entire organizing committee for organizing such an important workshop. Presiding over the program, Principal Dr. Shashi Bhushan Kumar honored all the guests with shawls, saplings, and mementos and said that this two-day workshop on Vedic mathematics was unique from an academic point of view. This workshop has boosted the confidence of students and researchers and fostered creativity in them. The workshop has also given students a new perspective on mathematics. He expressed his gratitude to the convenor, co-convenor, all members of the organizing committee, and all the resource persons from outside universities who participated in the workshop for its successful organization. He stated that similar workshops would be organized in the future.

The program was conducted by Dr. Alok Tripathi, the welcome address was given by Dr. Bhagwan Kumar, and the vote of thanks was given by Dr. Hasan Raza. Present on the occasion were Syndicate member Dr. Ramesh Prasad Gupta, Principal of LNT College Dr. Mamta Rani, Principal of MSKB College Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh, Dr. Rajeshwar Kumar, Dr. Kumar Balwant, Dr. Vipul Barnwal, Dr. Amar Bahadur Shukla, Senate member Dr. Sanjay Kumar Suman, Dr. M.N. Razvi, Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Dr. Aarti Kumari, Dr. Rajnikant Pandey, Dr. Saurabh Raj, Dr. Anuradha Pathak, Dr. Sneha Lata, Dr. Aarti Kumari, Dr. Lalit Kishore, Dr. Bhola Mohali, along with researchers, teachers, and students from outside institutions.
