ARA--------------------------Bhojpur police arrested two youths for brandishing weapons on social media. A juvenile was also detained. Police arrested them at their home in Sundarpur Barja village, within the jurisdiction of the police station. Police recovered three country-made pistols and four cartridges, and a mobile phone.
Among the arrested criminals are Shivam Kumar alias Bodhi Chaudhary, son of Suga Tiwari, a resident of Sundarpur Barja village in the jurisdiction of the Dhobha police station, and Ganga Thakur, son of Ashok Thakur. The minor is also a resident of the same village. This information was provided by Superintendent of Police Raj.
It is reported that on October 11th, Dhobha police received a viral video on social media showing the arrested criminals brandishing weapons. Based on the video, police identified four individuals.
Subsequently, Dhobha police raided Sundarpur Barja village and arrested Ganga Thakur and Ashok Thakur. A juvenile was detained. During interrogation, on his indication, three country-made pistols and four cartridges were recovered from a bush near Vijay Tiwari's house.
After this, after verification on the basis of the video, the police at Dhobha police station have registered an FIR under the Arms Act against four people including Ganga Thakur, Shivam Kumar, residents of Sundarpur Barja village of the police station area. At the same time, the police is conducting raids to arrest another absconding accused.
