In a condolence meeting organized by the Vishwa Bhojpuri Sammelan International Unit in Maidagin, Varanasi, emotional tributes were paid to the renowned litterateur Dr. Arunesh Neeran, who was the International General Secretary of Vishwa Bhojpuri Sammelan, on his untimely demise at the age of eighty in Gorakhpur. His last rites were performed with due rituals on 16 July at Harishchandra Ghat in Varanasi. The eldest son Dr. Paritosh Mani lit the funeral pyre.

International spokesperson and national coordinator of Vishwa Bhojpuri Sammelan, Dr. Apoorv Narayan Tiwari 'Banarasi Babu' said that with his demise an era has come to an end and the international Bhojpuri world has become orphaned. He was a literary Yugpurusha without enemies. He was the retired principal of Gautam Buddha PG College Kushinagar, and was also a member of the Sahitya Akademi and the National Human Rights Commission. His death has created a void in the international Bhojpuri world. He said that former Mauritius minister Dr. Basant Banwari, former minister Mukkeshwar Chuni, former minister Jagdish Gobardhan, Bhojpuri Speaking Union Mauritius chairperson Dr. Sarita Budhu, Hushila Devi Risoul, Vishwa Hindi Secretariat, National President of the organization Ajit Dubey, National Vice President Dr. Premshila, Provincial Vice President Shambhu Nath Choubey have expressed deep condolences on the death of Niran ji. Dr. Apoorv Narayan Tiwari said that now every year 15th July will be celebrated as Niran Smriti Diwas by Vishwa Bhojpuri Sammelan.
Among the people present were Pt. Shambhunath Pandey, Dr. P.S. Dubey, Dr. Dinesh Singh, Dr. B.N. Dwivedi, Pt. Radhika Tripathi, Purushottam Mishra, Suresh Prasad Pandey, Kashinath Tiwari, O.P. Sharma etc.
