PATNA----------------------------Student Ajit Kumar, who had gone to the library to study, was kidnapped for ransom. The police operation was so swift that the criminals did not get a chance to escape or negotiate.

The library suddenly turned into a crime thriller when student Ajit Kumar, who had gone to the Study Zone library to study, was kidnapped for ransom. The incident created a sensation in the entire area, but the police's swift and technology-based action foiled the kidnappers' entire plan in just 5 hours. The incident took place in Fatuha, Patna.

• Naresh Rai's 17-year-old son, Ajit, a resident of Goripunda, had gone to the library at 10 am as usual. But at 4 pm, his mother, Ganita Devi, received a call from an unknown number on her mobile phone. The caller clearly said that Ajit was in their custody, and if she wanted him back, she should keep Rs 5 lakh ready; otherwise, the consequences would be dire.

The mother, in a panic, immediately filed a written complaint at the Fatuha police station. Understanding the seriousness of the matter, the station house officer formed a special kidnapping trap team under the leadership of DSP-1 Awadhesh Kumar. The police first started tower location and technical tracking of the mobile number from which the ransom call was made, and within minutes, they got the location pattern.

As soon as the technical input was confirmed, the team cordoned off the Sonaru Baghicha area in the Fatuha police station area and raided it with lightning speed. Ajit Kumar was safely rescued, and the police arrested three kidnappers on the spot, thus foiling the entire ransom plot.

The operation was so swift that the criminals did not get a chance to escape or negotiate. SI Shubham Kumar and his team reached the spot, brought the entire situation under control, and safely handed over the student to his family.

Fatuha SDPO Awadhesh Kumar held a press conference late at night and said that questioning of the arrested criminals is underway, and action is being taken against them under sections of kidnapping, threat, and ransom. This entire operation once again proved that when the police are in action mode, the ransom gang's kidnapping plan becomes nothing more than a matter of a few hours.
