According to reports, the deceased student was Dipanshu Kumar, 12, son of Yogendra Yadav, a resident of Marha village, under the Sinha police station area. He was an eighth-grade student.
Ritesh Kumar, the deceased student's brother, said that on Tuesday morning, he had gone to play in the Bhagar river with other village children. While playing, he slipped and fell into the Bhagar river, drowning. The children then informed his family, who arrived. After tireless efforts by local villagers, his body was pulled from the water. Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and conducted a post-mortem at the Sadar Hospital.
It is reported that the deceased student was the youngest of three brothers and two sisters. His family includes his mother, Gyanati Devi, two brothers, Ritesh Kumar and Dinesh Kumar, and two sisters, Rinki Kumari and Pinky Kumari. The deceased student's mother, Gyanati Devi, and all the family members are inconsolable after the incident.
