STREET MEETING FOR SHAHABAD COMMISSIONERY

ARA----------------------------A street meeting was held today at Ara Railway Station in support of the demand to establish the Shahabad Commissionerate, comprising Bhojpur, Buxar, Kaimur, and Rohtas districts, with its headquarters in Ara. The program was chaired by Dhirendra Prasad Singh and conducted by Ashok Manav.

Addressing the gathering, Dhirendra Singh, Ashok Manav, Dr. Raghuvar Chandravanshi, President of Lohia Ambedkar Manch, Dr. Raj Pandey, Advocate Devendra Prasad, Amrendra Kumar, Nikesh Pandey, Amit Pandey, Abhishek Chaurasia, Prayag Yadav, and Luv Singh stated that if the Bihar government does not immediately announce the Shahabad Commissionerate and establish its headquarters in Ara, the agitation will be intensified.

Street meetings could not be held today due to waterlogging in various areas of the city, including Nawada Chowk, Mathiya, Shivganj, Gopali Chowk, Town Police Station, and Pakri. Street meetings and public relations campaigns will be held at these locations on September 21st or 22nd.

In addition, a seminar will be held at the Arrah Bar Association on September 23rd, 2025, at 1 p.m., to draw the attention of the Bihar government to the demand for the establishment of the Shahabad Commissionerate and its headquarters in Arrah.

At the meeting, Professor Uday Shankar Rai from Buxar, Shiv Prasanna Dubey from Kaimur, and Dr. Harihar Singh from Rohtas also expressed their support for the Sangharsh Samiti and assured that they would intensify the movement with all their heart, mind, and money in Buxar, Kaimur, and Rohtas.
