BUXAR------------------------The increasing outbreak of foot and mouth disease in the district has created panic among livestock owners. Following complaints of cattle falling ill in several areas, livestock owners are angered by the administration's inaction. Responding to this concern, social activist and former assembly candidate Om Ji Yadav has written to the veterinary surgeon, demanding an immediate vaccination campaign.

Om Ji Yadav stated that foot and mouth disease is spreading rapidly, but the department appears unwilling to take any concrete action. He stated that every year the state government conducts a large-scale vaccination campaign to prevent this infection, but this time the department's silence raises serious questions. He warned that if timely action is not taken, the disease could become widespread.

In his letter, he demanded the establishment of relief camps from cities to villages and the provision of adequate foot and mouth disease vaccine for all cattle. He said that the department's indifference is increasing the fear of livestock farmers, even though livestock is a vital source of their livelihood.

Meanwhile, livestock farmer Arun Kumar Yadav explained that livestock are the source of his income, his farming, and his family's livelihood. He said, "If cattle fall ill, both his family and livelihood will be in danger." Fear of foot and mouth disease is spreading rapidly in rural areas, and people are hoping for immediate intervention from the administration.

Livestock farmers have unequivocally demanded that vaccination and prevention campaigns be launched as soon as possible to ensure the safety of their livestock and curb the growing crisis.
