ARA-------------------------Sonali Singh, who has made her mark as the daughter of Barhara and a strong social worker of the area, visited the flood affected areas today and became aware of the problems of the affected.

Sonali Singh told that today she inspected many villages including Nekenam Tola, Bakhorapur, Keshavpur of Barhara block. During this, she met the flood victims and got to know their problems closely.

She informed that the villagers told her that the biggest problem is transportation. Due to the rising water level of the Ganges river, water has entered the houses and transportation is completely disrupted at many places. She said that the district administration had said that 8 boats would be made available but there is a huge shortage of boats on the spot. Sonali Singh said that the villagers expressed concern that if someone's health or the condition of a pregnant woman deteriorates at night, then it becomes difficult to reach the hospital.

Sonali Singh assured the flood victims that she will convey these problems to Bhojpur District Magistrate Tanay Sultania and will request him to resolve the problems as soon as possible.

She said that soon she will reach with her team with food items for the flood victims and will distribute it in the entire area.

She has also demanded from the district administration that sufficient number of boats should be made available as soon as possible so that people do not face any problem in commuting. She also stressed on the need to repair the broken dam near Muktidham in Keshavpur and said that she will raise this issue before the Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav so that permanent relief can be obtained from the flood.
