BHABHUA------------------------A tragic road accident in Bihar's Kaimur district turned joy into mourning. Early morning, a speeding Scorpio rammed a container parked on the side of the road near Chhajjupur Pond in the Durgawati police station area on National Highway 19. Three people, including a woman, died on the spot in the horrific collision, while seven other passengers in the Scorpio were seriously injured. The front portion of the Scorpio was completely damaged, giving an idea of ​​the severity of the accident. The accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. when the passengers, all residents of the Tirkulia area of ​​Sasaram, were returning from Prayagraj. The Scorpio collided with a container parked in the southern lane of NH-19 with such force that the vehicle was completely destroyed. According to eyewitnesses and police, the Scorpio driver had fallen asleep and lost control of the vehicle. The deceased have been identified as: Muslim Ansari (45 years old): a resident of Jharkhand. Munna Ansari (45 years old): a resident of Rohtas district. Razia Khatoon (60 years old): an elderly woman from Rohtas district. A total of seven people were seriously injured in the accident, including women and children who were traveling with a family. The injured include Umar Ansari (70 years old), Fatima (15 years old), Hajra Khatoon (40 years old), Ashraf Ansari (30 years old), Amir Ansari (12 years old), Naseem Ansari (45 years old), and Muskan Parveen (42 years old). All the injured are reported to be in critical condition. Upon receiving information about the accident, Durgawati police, NHAI patrol teams, and local residents immediately arrived at the scene. Chaos ensued on the road, and traffic was briefly disrupted. The NHAI team began rescue operations. The injured were initially taken to the Durgawati Community Health Center, where doctors provided first aid. Doctor Nikail Ansari stated that a total of eight people were brought to the hospital, two of whom were referred to the Mohania subdivisional hospital. The remaining five seriously injured were sent to Sadar Hospital, Bhabua, while some were taken to the Varanasi Trauma Center for better treatment. Doctor Nikail Ansari stated, "The bodies of the deceased have been taken into custody, a Panchnama has been done, and they have been sent for postmortem." Durgawati police station sub-inspector Krishna Kumar Pandit stated that three people, including a woman, died in the accident, and seven others are undergoing treatment. He added, "We are currently awaiting the arrival of our families so that we can obtain complete information." Station in-charge Girish Kumar confirmed that three died on the spot and seven were referred to the Varanasi Trauma Center. He said, "The accident occurred due to speeding. Police are currently investigating the entire matter. Preliminary investigations have cited speeding, driver drowsiness, and darkness as the main causes. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation, which is also investigating the role of the driver's negligence. As soon as the families of the deceased were informed, people from Sasaram and Rohtas began arriving in Durgawati. This tragic accident has created a wave of mourning in the Tirkulia area.
