SASARAM------------------------A science fair was organized at Sher Shah Engineering College, Sasaram on Saturday. ​​A theme-based competition on the topic "Innovation in Science and Technology" was held as part of the fair. The guests included Sub-Divisional Officer of Sasaram, Ashutosh Ranjan, OSD Ashish Ranjan, SDC Om Prakash, Vinay Pratap, Vinita Kumari, District Art and Culture Officer Pankaj Kumar, Circle Officer, Karahgar, and senior college officials. District Magistrate Udita Singh, who was the chief guest at the event, addressed the students and said that science strengthens humanity and faith. It teaches solutions and remedies, not superstition. Asking questions is the beginning of science – students should always be curious. She said that engineers are the backbone of societal progress. Artificial intelligence does not know right from wrong; the decision is made by humans, therefore, emotional intelligence and ethics are essential along with technology. The DM said that science is only meaningful when it makes the lives of common people easier and is used for the welfare of society. She urged the students to transform their ideas into products so that new opportunities for startups and employment can be created. A total of 27 teams from the college and various schools presented their science models at the event. The guests inspected the models and appreciated the scientific capabilities of the students. The evaluation team included Prof. Shailesh Saurabh, Prof. Khushboo Mishra, and Prof. Arun Kumar. Prof. Vinita Anand and Dr. Parul Singh played a significant role in coordinating the program. The first prize in the exhibition went to Team Raj Udan: Sumit Kumar and Raj Kumar, who were felicitated. Participants who secured second and third positions were also awarded certificates, trophies, and medals.

The first-place winners were selected to represent Rohtas district at the State-Level Youth Festival in Madhubani. The program was a great success with the participation of approximately 400 students and teachers from all departments. The stage was jointly managed by Parth Kaushik, Suruchi, and Abhiraj.
