ARA------------------------In view of the upcoming Bihar Legislative Assembly General Elections 2025, a static surveillance team deployed at Kundeshwar Mod in Shahpur police station area recovered ₹5 lakh in cash during a vehicle check on Tuesday. The static surveillance team is maintaining round-the-clock vigil at designated locations. On Tuesday, the team deployed at Kundeshwar Mod in Shahpur police station area stopped a suspicious vehicle and conducted a thorough search. During the search, a large sum of ₹5 lakh in cash was recovered from the vehicle.

Immediate inquiries were made about the source and purpose of the seized cash. Upon receiving unsatisfactory answers from the drivers or occupants, the team immediately reported the matter to senior officials. The recovered cash has been confiscated as per regulations and a detailed investigation has been initiated. It is being ensured that this cash is not used for election campaigning or any other illegal activity.

In this regard, following the necessary legal procedures, the relevant departments such as the Income Tax Department, Expenditure Observer, and District Election Officer have been informed. The administrative machinery is fully prepared and committed to ensuring that the upcoming Assembly elections are conducted in accordance with all democratic values.
