ARA---------------------------A technical team of the authority led by RERA Bihar's investigation commissioner Sanjay Kumar Singh held a meeting with Saran DM Aman Sameer and other senior officials of the district at the Samharanalaya in Chapra on Monday in which a detailed discussion was held on taking strict action against promoters and agents violating the provisions of the RERA Act.
Before the meeting, a detailed investigation was done by the technical teams of RERA Bihar in which about 40 plotted development projects of various areas of Saran district were inspected and it was found that about 31 of these projects were such that fall under the planning area but they are being promoted without getting RERA registration done and plots are being booked and sold. Let us tell you that before the site inspection by the technical team of RERA, the sites were identified using satellite images so that the team members can inspect the site only after collecting primary information about them. In the inspection work, Saran administration had also deputed other officers including the concerned Zonal Officers so that the site inspection work could be done smoothly.
In the meeting, RERA Investigation Commissioner also requested the Saran District Officer to direct the concerned Zonal Officers to find out the Khasra number and Jamabandi details of the plots of the identified site within a week and inform RERA Bihar so that action can be taken against the concerned promoters and land owners as per the law. The District Officer gave instructions to this effect to the concerned Zonal Officers during the meeting. Describing today's meeting as very useful, RERA Investigation Commissioner said that the district administration was also requested to identify suitable places around the concerned sites and provide detailed information about RERA Bihar so that by displaying messages related to public awareness there, the general public can be informed about the RERA Act so that they do not become victims of fraud.
