Bihar Politics: Patna is currently a hotbed of political activity. With the convening of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting, new activities have gained momentum in the state's politics. Following this meeting, senior Congress leader and former President Rahul Gandhi will meet with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav. It is expected that this meeting will involve in-depth discussions on preparations for the assembly elections, especially seat-sharing. This meeting is considered extremely important in Bihar politics, as Bihar is considered a crucial player in the strategy of the opposition alliance, India Block.

The Congress Working Committee meeting in Patna is significant for the party in many ways. The Congress is holding such a major political meeting in Bihar after a long time. The presence of national-level leaders at this CWC meeting not only energizes party workers but also signals a strengthening of the organization. The meeting will discuss the current state of the organization, the strategy for the upcoming elections, the strengthening of the alliance, and the strategy to corner the BJP. According to sources, the Congress is working on a strategy to regain lost ground in Bihar. Over the past several decades, the party has gradually been marginalized here. Now, it wants to reassert its presence through the strength of the alliance.

The meeting between Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav after the CWC meeting has sparked curiosity in political circles. The strength of the Grand Alliance (RJD, Congress, and other parties) in Bihar hinges on this meeting. Tejashwi Yadav is a popular leader among the youth, and Rahul Gandhi is also trying to strengthen his image among the youth. The meeting between the two leaders will send a message that the alliance's top leadership is united.

It is believed that the issue of seat sharing will be a major focus of this meeting. In the last election, the BJP and its allies performed exceptionally well in Bihar's 243 assembly seats. Consequently, it is crucial for opposition parties to coordinate their positions and enter the fray. Seat sharing has always been a sensitive issue in Bihar. The RJD considers itself the largest opposition party in the state and claims the most seats. On the other hand, the Congress also wants sufficient seats to strengthen its organization. The Left parties also have stakes.

Sources indicate that the Congress wants at least 70 seats, while the RJD's stance is that the Congress should not be given more than 60 seats. Furthermore, amid the ongoing tussle over not putting forward a CM face, the meeting between Rahul and Tejashwi will be an attempt to find a balanced formula.

The India Bloc's strategy is clear: to defeat the BJP, all parties must contest the elections together. If disagreements persist over seat sharing, the BJP could directly benefit. This is why the meeting between Rahul and Tejashwi is being described as a symbol of the alliance's unity. Furthermore, this meeting is likely to discuss a joint election campaign strategy, a shared manifesto, and other issues. The opposition wants to focus on issues like unemployment, inflation, education, and health.
