ARA-----------------------'Sanskrit Diwas Samaroh' was organized by the Sanskrit Department of Jagjivan College, Arrah. The program was presided over by the Principal of the college, Prof. Dr. Abha Singh. First of all, competitions of Shloka recitation in Sanskrit, Sanskrit prose recitation and dictation were organized, after which the program began. Sanskrit Department Head Dr. Satyendra Pandey highlighted the tradition of celebrating Sanskrit Day and the importance of Sanskrit. In her presidential address, the Principal motivated the students to study Sanskrit diligently. The students were made aware of the practical aspect of the famous shloka of the Gita, 'Karmanyewadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana. Ma Karmaphalaheturbhoorama Te Sango'stvakaarmani.' Later, certificates were given to the students who got first, second and third positions in the competition. The programme was conducted by Amit Kumar, a student of Graduate Semester 5 and the vote of thanks was given by Dr. Nabarun Ghosh.
