As the Bihar assembly elections are approaching, the stir in the state politics has intensified. The process of defection is at its peak, where the big leaders of various parties and their supporters are busy strengthening their political ground by changing sides. In this episode, the Congress party has intensified the campaign to add new faces to the party with the intention of strengthening the organization, which has further increased the election activities. A special meeting ceremony organized at the Congress headquarters Sadakat Ashram on Sunday made a lot of headlines in the political circles. In this ceremony, Purnia Mayor's husband and well-known social worker Jitendra Kumar joined the Congress along with his supporters. His move is believed to strengthen the position of the Congress in the Purnia region. Not only this, prominent leaders like BJP's Extremely Backward Cell Co-convenor Kunal Kishore Sahni and JDU's State General Secretary Kunal Agarwal also surprised everyone by joining the Congress along with their supporters. On this occasion, Jitendra Kumar was given party membership by State Congress President Rajesh Ram and BJP leader Kunal was given party membership by State In-charge Allavaru.

After the new members joined the party, State Congress President Rajesh Ram expressed confidence that this will further strengthen the party in Purnia. At the same time, State In-charge Allavaru welcomed Kunal Kishore Sahni and said that his arrival will further strengthen the hold of Congress in the Extremely Backward Society.

Many senior leaders like Shakeel Ahmed Khan, Madan Mohan Jha, Anshul Abhijeet, Motilal Sharma, Rajesh Rathore, Manjeet Anand were also present in this gathering, who welcomed the new members and called for taking the party forward unitedly.
