ARA---------------------------The Customs Department, along with the Income Tax Department, will also conduct its own investigation into the gold smuggling case linked to Nepal. After the arrest of the smuggler with Nepali gold biscuits in Ara, the police informed the Customs Department. It is believed that a team from the Customs Department may soon come to Ara to investigate the matter. The Income Tax Department is also conducting its own investigation.

Meanwhile, the Bhojpur police are investigating the smuggler's network. The connection between the smuggler and the jeweler is also being investigated. On the other hand, after questioning, the arrested gold smuggler, Ram Naresh Pandey, has been sent to jail. The police say that if necessary during the investigation, the smuggler may also be taken into custody on remand.

It should be noted that on Tuesday morning, the police of Nawada police station arrested an international smuggler from Buxar district near the Karman Tola petrol pump with five gold biscuits weighing 100 grams each. Ram Naresh Pandey, originally from Purana Bhojpur village in Dumraon police station area of ​​Buxar district, was currently residing in Kayam Nagar village in Gidha police station area, his in-laws' village.

During police questioning, the smuggler revealed that he smuggled gold from Birgunj in Nepal and sold it to Munna Ji, the owner of a jewelry shop at Gopali Chowk in Ara. For this, he crossed the border near Raxaul to enter Bihar. According to the police, he had previously sold gold to the jeweler Munna Ji. The police are now working to get to the bottom of the entire matter.
