BUXAR--------------------------A major robbery incident occurred last night near the Pipradh river in the Sonvarsha police station area. A pickup van loaded with medicines was stopped at gunpoint by four unknown assailants who assaulted the driver and his assistant before robbing them. Following the incident, the victimized driver filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the Sonvarsha police station on Saturday.

According to the registered FIR, the pickup truck driver, Pramod Kumar Sharma, a resident of Chhatwani village in the Kudra police station area of ​​Kaimur district, was traveling from Kaimur to Muzaffarpur with his assistant, Vikas Kumar. They were driving a pickup truck loaded with medicines on NH-319 and had just reached the Pipradh river when four armed assailants overtook their vehicle and stopped it.

The assailants then threatened the driver and his assistant at gunpoint and looted Rs. 3000 in cash, mobile phones, and five boxes of medicines from the vehicle. After committing the crime, the assailants fled the scene. Upon receiving information about the incident, the local police swung into action. Sonvarsha Station House Officer Santosh Kumar said that a case has been registered based on the driver's application.

A police team is inspecting the crime scene. He said that efforts are underway to identify the culprits using both technical and traditional methods. The police claim that they will soon identify and arrest the criminals involved in the robbery.
