ARA----------------------------Parliament is currently in session, but the question is: when will Bihar's MPs finally fulfill their responsibilities?
It is their duty to seek clarity on why Bihar is not receiving the PM MITRA Textile Park project. It should be asked why the central government has shown no interest in developing the textile industry in Bihar despite the tenure of Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh. The question also arises: why should discussions be limited to Begusarai?
Regions like Gaya, Champaran, and Shahabad are also fully eligible for textile parks. If 10% of the country's population lives in Bihar, then Bihar's share in textile parks should be at least 10%.
Whether the central government has a clear policy regarding the development of the leather industry in Bihar should also be asked in the House. Who will raise this question? Is it just a formality to attend the House?
What plans are the central and state governments jointly developing to increase Bihar's productive share in the country's textile industry over the next five years?
Coastal states are being given greater priority in the allocation of PM MITRA parks, but what is the compensation policy for landlocked states like Bihar and Jharkhand? Or is the central government's sole intention to keep Biharis as workers, not producers? And then the question arises: what real benefit has Bihar received from leaders like Giriraj Singh becoming ministers?
MPs from southern Indian states speak out in unison for their interests, but Bihar MPs are unable to rise above the burden of casteism and express their views. This silence is shameful. The identity, dignity, and rights of Biharis are greater than any party or politics. A loud voice should have been raised on these issues—but unfortunately, there is more silence and less awareness.
