ARA---------------------------The Revenue and Land Reforms Department has taken a major step towards completely digitizing the process of resolving land disputes. All work in the revenue courts is now being conducted online, and new cases will be filed online only. The department has also clarified that a lawyer is not required in these cases, and applicants can represent themselves if they wish.
This information was shared during a two-day residential training program for Deputy Collectors of Land Reforms (DCLRs). Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar Singh stated that regular inspections and reviews of zonal offices are essential for better revenue administration, but this process is currently lagging behind the expected pace. He directed officials to ensure this.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha also emphasized transparency and ease in the departmental structure. He said that all work should be completely online, and the old practice of demanding unnecessary documents or calling applicants to the office should be immediately abolished. According to him, the digital system will not only save time but will also provide relief to the common people.
