LEPERS CELEBRATE RAKSHA BANDHAN

ARA---------------------------Tears welled up in the eyes of leprosy patients, they were overwhelmed with the warm respect they received on Raksha Bandhan. Members of the famous social service organization of Dhanbad, Rishikesh Hitaishini Geh, under the leadership of the organization's secretary Kavita Mishra, celebrated Raksha Bandhan festival with great joy among the leprosy patients neglected by the society at the Leprosy Training Center and Hospital located at local Tetulmari, Baghmara Shakti Chowk.

On this occasion, the women members of the organization Rishikesh Hitaishini Geh tied Rakhi on the wrists of the leprosy patients and gifted them sweets.

Overwhelmed by the warm respect received from the organization, leprosy patient Raghu said that this "Leprosy Training Center and Hospital" has been running for the last 20 years but such a program had never happened till date.

Generally people do not even like to see us, touching us is like a dream. We cannot even imagine such an event. The eyes of the patients were filled with tears due to this kind of respect. Institution Rishikesh Hitaishini Geh Secretary of the organization, Kavita Mishra, said that we keep working among the deprived and neglected sections of society to the best of our ability. Ruby Singh, Suneela Rajak, Savita Devi, Kiran Singh, Uttam Sen Gupta and hospital staff participated enthusiastically on behalf of the organization in this important program.
