ARA--------------------------On the orders of Bhojpur District Magistrate Tanay Sultania, the Excise Department is continuously conducting raids and vehicle checks against illegal liquor in the district.

Under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner of Excise, Bhojpur, Rajneesh, the Excise Department, acting on a tip-off, seized a large quantity of illegal foreign liquor. During a vehicle check on the Salempur Ara Road near Sambhavna School in Majhaua (Ara Nagar Police Station), 241.920 liters of illegal foreign liquor, consisting of 1344 pieces of 180 ml bottles of 8 PM Special Blended Scotch Whisky, were seized from a Creta car (registration number not mentioned). The driver of the vehicle, Ravi Kumar, son of Subhash Singh, resident of Suitha, Ward Number-12, Parsa Bazar Police Station, Patna District, Bihar, was arrested and is being handed over to the court for further action. The market value of the seized liquor is estimated to be around Rs. 3 lakhs. The seized liquor was being transported from Uttar Pradesh to Patna. The raiding team included Inspector Prakash Chandra, Sub-Inspector Shivam Kumar Jha, Assistant Sub-Inspector Ravi Kumar, along with Excise constables, SAP and Home Guard personnel. The Excise and Prohibition Department is continuously conducting raids against illegal liquor. This campaign will continue in the future.
