IRREGULARITIES IN SIR PROCESS: QAYAMUDDIN ANSARI

ARA-------------------------CPI(ML) State Committee member and former candidate of Ara Assembly Qayamuddin Ansari has issued a statement saying that CPI(ML) has called for a Booth Chalo Abhiyan in the entire state from August 2 to investigate the huge irregularities in the voter list released after SIR.

Under the Booth Chalo Abhiyan of CPI(ML), booth numbers 132 and 135 were thoroughly investigated in Dharhara on August 2 and in Begumpur Mirachak today on August 3.

CPI(ML) leader Qayamuddin Ansari said that huge irregularities have been seen in the voter list released after SIR. The CPI (ML) leader said that at serial number 165 of booth number 132 of 194 Ara assembly constituency, the name of Shankar Singh, father Sona Lal, age 74 years, house number 13 is recorded; this person has died long ago. Similarly, at booth number 132, serial number 758, Sahodari Devi, wife of Vittan Singh, age 89, house number 92 is recorded; she is also dead. Similarly, at the same booth, serial number 760, Shankar Sah, father Vittan Prasad, age 53, house number 92 is recorded; he is also dead. In this way, the names of five dead persons are recorded in the voter list at 132 and 135. CPI (ML) leader Qayamuddin Ansari said that investigation of some booths of Ara assembly constituency shows that there is huge irregularity in the SIR process. Names of dead people have been added to the voter list while names of living people have been deleted from the voter list.

Today's Booth Chalo Abhiyan was led by CPI (ML) State Committee member and Ara city secretary Sudhir Singh, State Committee member and former candidate of Ara assembly constituency Qayamuddin Ansari, local committee secretary Mohd. Khurshid, Nehal Ansari, Sanjay Kumar Gupta, and people of the locality were also present.
