ARA----------------------------Independent candidates include former JDU rebel MLC Ranvijay Singh, BJP rebel Suryabhan Singh, and RJD rebel Saroj Yadav. Barhara Assembly is a Rajput-dominated constituency. However, this time, Rajput voters appear to be unhappy with the BJP candidate.

The Barhara seat has become a major talking point in this Bihar Assembly election. The contest here is not a direct one, but a triangular one. On one side is the NDA-supported BJP candidate Raghavendra Pratap Singh, on the other is the Grand Alliance-backed RJD candidate Rambabu Singh, and on the third is an independent candidate. For the first time in the history of the Barhara Assembly, it appears that independent candidates may also win the election.

Independent candidates include former JDU rebel MLC Ranvijay Singh, BJP rebel Suryabhan Singh, and RJD rebel Saroj Yadav. Barhara Assembly is a Rajput-dominated constituency. But this time, Rajput voters seem displeased with the BJP candidate and are not even turning to the RJD. Their eyes are fixed on independent candidates Ranvijay Singh and Suryabhan Singh.

Election discussions are currently rife in the villages and streets of Barhara. Voters are evaluating the candidates based on their own perspectives. When Local 18 correspondents reached out to the public, people revealed surprising facts. Voters in Kudaria village said they want change in Barhara this time. The current MLA, Raghavendra Pratap Singh, hasn't visited the area even once since he won the election.

According to locals, despite four recent floods, he hasn't visited even once. Not a single brick has been laid in this Panchayat from his funds in the last five years. Meanwhile, some young voters are becoming more aware and are saying that they will not be fooled this time and will vote wisely.

Voters also directly attacked the NDA and Grand Alliance candidates. People say that Barhara was once a leading agricultural sector. Peas, pointed gourds, and oilseeds were cultivated here, but due to a lack of resources, agriculture is gradually shrinking. The harvest is harvested, but floods destroy everything. Whatever remains doesn't fetch a fair price in the market. The public also said that they've tried voting for RJD and BJP MLAs many times, but this time something new will happen in Barhara. This time, they'll elect an independent MLA, who will raise Barhara's issues in the Assembly.
