INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE STAGED A SIT-IN PROTEST AFTER HIS NOMINATION WAS CANCELLED

ARA-------------------------After the cancellation of Vishwanath Singh, an independent candidate and JDU leader from the Barhara assembly seat in Bhojpur district, he staged a sit-in protest outside the subdivision office. He alleged that his nomination was cancelled under political pressure and called it a murder of democracy.

Political turmoil intensified on Saturday after the cancellation of Vishwanath Singh, an independent candidate and JDU leader from the Barhara assembly seat in Bhojpur district. Angered by the cancellation, Vishwanath Singh staged a sit-in protest outside the subdivision office. After a peaceful protest for about an hour, the police detained him and sent him to the Nawada police station.

During the protest, Vishwanath Singh stated that all his documents were in order, yet his nomination was cancelled under political pressure. Calling it a murder of democracy, he said he had been wronged and demanded an impartial investigation from the Chief Election Commissioner.

Vishwanath Singh said he had been at the election office since morning, but was informed after 3 p.m. that his nomination had been cancelled. Angered by this, he began a hunger strike, after which the police detained him. Meanwhile, a large number of his supporters also reached the subdivision office.
