On this occasion, the District Magistrate also inspected the waste processing unit installed in the premises and reviewed its functioning in detail.

ARA---------------------------Giving further strength to the ongoing initiatives in the district regarding cleanliness, women empowerment and rural livelihood, the newly constructed Jeevika Bhawan in Semaria-Padaria village of Barhara block was inaugurated by Jeevika Didi in the dignified presence of District Magistrate of Bhojpur, Mr. Tanay Sultania. On this occasion, the District Magistrate also inspected the waste processing unit installed in the premises and reviewed its functioning in detail.
With the inauguration of this newly constructed Jeevika Bhawan, now the women associated with Jeevika have got a permanent, safe and well-organized place to conduct meetings, training sessions and office work. District Magistrate Mr. Tanay Sultania said on this occasion, This building is not only a physical structure, but it is a strong step towards the self-reliance of Jeevika Didis. With this, the women of the group will be able to better discharge their economic and social responsibilities by becoming more organized.
The inspection of the waste processing unit by the District Magistrate was particularly noteworthy. Here he was informed about the entire process from garbage segregation to recycling of organic fertilizer and plastic waste. Through this unit, not only will cleanliness be promoted at the local level, but the villagers associated with it will also get economic benefits.
Such units can become an ideal example for sustainable development in rural areas. This project is not only important in the direction of environmental protection, but it will also create employment opportunities, which will strengthen the economy of the village.
During the inspection, the District Magistrate instructed the concerned officials to make the "door to door" garbage collection system more effective and regular in all the wards, so that the process of waste management can be implemented in a systematic manner. He also gave strict instructions to ensure the quality of every stage of waste management - separation, processing, and product manufacturing.
The District Magistrate also showed seriousness on the issue of rural sanitation. He directed the Block Development Officer to identify the families still deprived of toilets in Mahadalit tolas and motivate them to get this facility soon. This step is an important effort towards fulfilling the goals of the government's Swachh Bharat Mission.
On this occasion, Deputy Development Commissioner Bhojpur Mrs. Gunjan Singh, Director NEP, Block Development Officer Barhara, Circle Officer Barhara and many other officials were present. Everyone expressed satisfaction over the operation of Jeevika Bhawan and waste processing unit and said that more such models should be developed in future.
