DELHI-----------------------Mintu Paswan told that during the special intensive revision of the voter list, the BLO did not come to him for verification. It was found that he had gone after talking to the ward councilor. Whereas the BLO was given the responsibility of going door to door and doing the verification by the District Election Office.

Before the Bihar Assembly elections, the Election Commission has conducted SIR i.e. Special Intensive Voter Revision in Bihar. But the opposition is constantly raising questions on the process of voter revision conducted in Bihar. The opposition is claiming many types of irregularities in the voter revision and this matter has now reached the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, a voter from Bihar has told the Supreme Court that during the voter list revision, the BLO has removed his name from the voter list by declaring him dead.

Voter Mintu Paswan (father Uday Paswan, age 41 years) of the urban polling station of Ara assembly in Bhojpur district reached the Supreme Court on Tuesday regarding his name being declared dead and removed from the draft publication. During the hearing in the Supreme Court on Tuesday regarding the voter revision program, he was presented that he is alive, whereas his name has been removed from the voter list by declaring him dead. His old EPIC number is 0701235. He has been a voter of polling station number 92 (old) and 100 (new) of ward number one Singhi Kala of Ara Municipal Corporation.

He is a matriculation pass and a laborer by profession. Mintu Paswan told that during the special intensive revision of the voter list, the BLO did not come to him for verification. It was found that he had gone away after talking to the ward councilor. Whereas the BLO was given the responsibility of going door to door for verification by the District Election Office. When the draft of the voter list was published, I found that my name had been declared dead and deleted. Then I lodged a complaint about this, then BLO came to meet me after 10 days and started demanding many documents to add the name.

He told that not only mine, but the name of many living people has been removed by declaring them dead. The name of 69-year-old Phuljharo Devi (husband Kamla Yadav) of my ward has been declared dead and deleted. Her old EPIC number is 2457935. Both of us have been voting in the last several elections. Claim objection has also been made by filling the form in the time given for claim objection.

Similarly, the name of Shankar Chauhan, father Shivji Chauhan (age 64 years, EPIC number 903331), resident of Dharhara of ward number 35 of the city, Madan Chauhan (father Yadunanand Chauhan age 73 years and EPIC number 1309913) of the same ward and Sudha Devi (husband Shashikant Chauhan age 34 years, EPIC number 1520642) of the same ward have been declared dead and deleted from the draft publication of the voter list. These people have also objected to the claim.
