In 2016, when some of my friends and I raised our voices on social media for obscenity-free Bhojpuri, he, along with his henchmen, resorted to abusive language. The MLA from Gorakhpur was also with him. The reason was our opposition to his song "Lahnga Remote Wale." We turned a deaf ear and focused solely on literary promotion. He continues to do so through his Facebook page.
People like Hawabaaz Hawa Singh are a scourge of society, and the new generation, by honoring them, is bringing about its own downfall. The entry of such individuals into politics is a blow to the cultural future of the state and the country.
