Upon receiving information about the incident, Mufussil Station House Officer Deepak Kumar arrived at the scene with police and began investigating the matter. Police recovered a cartridge and the deceased's bike from the scene. However, the motive behind the murders remains unknown.
According to information, the deceased include Pramod Kushwaha, a resident of Kasap village, under the jurisdiction of the Udwantnagar police station, and his son, Priyanshu Kushwaha. They currently reside in their own house in Jaynagar village, under the jurisdiction of the Udwantnagar police station. They run a sweet shop named Maurya in the Pianiya market.
The deceased, Pramod Kumar, is said to be a worker of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha Party. Regarding the incident, it is reported that Pramod Kushwaha was at his sweet shop in Pianiya Bazaar with his son Priyanshu Kushwaha on Thursday night. Someone called him on his mobile phone, prompting him to leave on his bike. Meanwhile, on Friday morning, their bodies were recovered near the Nat Sthan in Belghat village, under the jurisdiction of the Mufussil police station.
Upon receiving news of the double murder in Belghat village, under the jurisdiction of the Mufussil police station, Superintendent of Police Raj arrived at the scene and spoke with the family members of the deceased. According to the Superintendent of Police, the family members initially reported that the case appeared to be a love affair. The Superintendent of Police assured that the incident would be investigated impartially and that the culprits would not be spared under any circumstances.
The Superintendent of Police also clarified that the murder is in no way related to the assembly elections and that there is no electoral rivalry behind the murder. He stated that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to thoroughly investigate the matter, which will examine all aspects and bring the facts to light soon. The police administration has appealed to the public to ignore rumors and cooperate with the investigation so that the culprits can be brought to justice quickly.
