ARA-------------------------A tree plantation programme was organized in BD Public School located in Nawada of Ara city in view of the increasing environmental imbalance and seriousness of climate change in the world. The students, teachers and administrative personnel of the school participated enthusiastically in the program. During this, saplings were planted in the school premises.
The main objective of the program was to increase environmental awareness among students, encourage greenery and create a clean and balanced environment for the coming generations, along with this, the message was also given through this event that environmental protection is not only the responsibility of the government, but the duty of every citizen.
The program was started by planting a sapling by the school principal Rajesh Rajmani. He said that “Climate change has become a global challenge in the present times. If we still do not wake up, then its ill effects can be more dire in the coming years.
Trees not only give us oxygen, but also play an important role in keeping the soil fertile, balancing the water level and reducing pollution. We have to walk in balance with nature.
Assistant teacher Ram Kumar Neeraj said that our effort is that students should not be limited to textbooks only, but also understand their responsibility towards society and environment. Planting a small sapling today is the beginning of becoming a huge shady tree for tomorrow.
He also told the students that every student will take the responsibility of taking care of the planted sapling. During this, the children also took out a rally with slogans like 'Plant trees, save lives', carrying posters with slogans related to the environment in their hands.
At the end of the program, a short film based on the importance of trees was also shown to the students. This initiative of the school family is not only an inspirational step towards environmental protection, but it has also proved to be an effective medium to make the society aware.
