ELECTRICITY BILLS WORTH THOUSANDS OF RUPEES TO FARMERS WITHOUT CONNECTION

ARA-------------------------CPI-ML State Committee member and former candidate supported by the Grand Alliance in Ara Assembly, Qayamuddin Ansari has issued a press statement saying that today a big meeting of farmers was held in Baluan village of Daulatpur Panchayat. Without connecting the electricity connection, the electricity department has handed over electricity bills worth thousands of rupees to the farmers, due to which there is a lot of anger among the farmers.

CPI ML leader Qayamuddin Ansari said that in March-April 2025, employees of the electricity department came to Baluan village and appealed to the farmers to get electricity connection. They said that if you people apply for the connection, then electricity poles will be erected in your fields and we will install transformers by pulling the electricity wire, dozens of farmers gave their documents.

CPI (ML) leader Qayamuddin Ansari said that electricity poles were erected and electricity cables were also laid and transformers were also installed. But farmers kept demanding to connect electricity to transformer from Rohini Nakshatra but Nitish BJP government did not connect electricity connection to run the boring of farmers.

CPI (ML) leader Qayamuddin Ansari said that till date electricity department has not connected connection to run boring of farmers and handed over electricity bill of thousands of rupees to farmers which is anti-farmer.

Qayamuddin Ansari said that Nitish BJP government is anti-farmer and local BJP MLA of Ara Amarendra Pratap Singh is silent, he has nothing to do with farmers. He has demanded from electricity department that electricity bills of farmers should be waived as soon as possible. He gave the slogan no electricity, no bill.

In the meeting of farmers, a unanimous resolution was passed that tomorrow the A.C. of electricity department should be shut down. A delegation of farmers will meet CPI (ML) leader Qayamuddin Ansari and will discuss this issue.

The CPI (ML) leader said that if the electricity department does not agree to waive the electricity bills of the farmers, then CPI (ML) will start a movement on the issue of waiving the electricity bills of the farmers.
