Ara (RNI) With the announcement of parliamentary election 2024, model code of conduct came into force. The parliamentary election for 32-Ara parliamentary election along with mid-term election for the Agiaw Assembly Constituency will be held together on June 1, 2024.

He stated that district administration is preparing all possible measure on war footing to conduct the election peaceful and impartial manner. At least 2249 polling booths have been made for the parliamentary election in Bhojpur district in which 302 booths are in Sandesh, 326 in Badahara, 349 in Ara, 332 in Jagdishpur, 286 in Agiaw, 331 in Tarari and 323 in Shahpur assembly constituencies.
The DM said that Bhojpur district has 19236 differently abled voters including 2353 blind voters, 10007 deaf and dump voters and 1236 Loko meter disabled voters and volunteers will be deputed at each every polling booth to assist them this time.
The DEO stated that elaborate security arrangement is being done for the forthcoming parliamentary election and the mid-term assembly election in Bhojpur district and the district administration is assessing the deputation of police force. He added 66 companies of the paramilitary force is expected. He added that 6 thousands personnel of Bihar police besides one company of BMP and SSB will be deployed at booths to maintain law and order during election and to foil the bid of any anti-social elements to disturb the election. He further said that police station wise action against the criminals has been initiated in view of the forthcoming election and added that proposals from different police station are received against 62 criminals to book them under the CCA of which CCA has been imposed against 32 criminals so far. He stated that officers will be deputed to check carrying of intoxicants including liquor during the election from booths to other places and for this 219 sector magistrates and 23 flying squads and 23 SST have been deputed to keep vigil on the anti-social and illegal activities.
With the model code conduct came in force after announcement of parliamentary election, Bhojpur district administration became active and started removing posters and banners. At the direction of the Bhojpur district administration, Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC) started removing posters and banners from all the government buildings including the Ara collectorate. Even JCB has been pressed into operation in this regard.
