In Bihar's Rohtas district, the salaries of 195 headmasters and 585 teachers have been stopped for failing to start the project-based education course on time. The Education Department has also issued show-cause notices to these teachers. This action has been taken with the objective of improving education and implementing the project-based education course. The 3.7 Project-Based Learning - Micro Improvement Project for children in classes 6 to 8 in government schools of the district was supposed to start by December 5th.

The primary responsibility was given to the teachers teaching science and mathematics. A workshop was also organized for them. However, despite repeated instructions, the project-based education course was not started in 195 schools of the district, except for Tilauthu and Nauhatta, which is a violation of departmental instructions. DPO Sarva Shiksha Rohit Roshan said that an explanation has been sought from the concerned headmasters and teachers in this matter.

Their salary payments have been stopped until further orders. If the explanation is not found satisfactory, other disciplinary action will be taken.  Action has been taken to stop the salaries of headmasters and teachers in 17 schools in Sasaram, 1 in Suryapura, 10 in Shivsagar, 6 in Sanjhauli, 2 in Rohtas, 12 in Rajpur, 10 in Nokha, 1 in Nasariganj, 10 in Kochas, 7 in Kargahar, 10 in Karakat, 5 in Dinara, 1 in Dehri, 8 in Dawath, 8 in Chenari, 2 in Bikramganj and 5 in Akodhigola schools. This order has created a stir among the teachers of the district.
