ARA---------------------------On the occasion of World Disability Day, children with disabilities demonstrated their talent with outstanding performances in the block-level sports competition organized by the Inclusive Education Department, operating under the Bihar Education Project. Held at the Boys Middle School campus at the Piro subdivisional headquarters, this sports competition and cultural program was inaugurated by Mithlesh Mishra, Principal of Boys Middle School, Piro, and Satish Mishra, retired teacher of Middle School, Nonar. In the jalebi race for mentally retarded children, Dheeraj Kumar of Boys Middle School, Piro, won first place, Kush Pandit of Lahari Tiwaridih, second place, and Deepu Kumar of Upgraded Middle School, Khairi Tiwaridih, third place. In the jalebi race for mentally retarded girls, Vaishnavi Kumari of Boys Middle School, Piro, won first place, Julie Kumari of Tilath, second place, and Ranjan Kumari of Boys Middle School, third place. In the sack race competition for hearing impaired children, Shani Kumar, Boys Middle School, Piro, won first place, and Guddu Kumar, Boys Middle School, Piro, won second place. In the needle and thread competition, Preeti Kumari, Boys Middle School, Piro, won first place, Rani Kumari, Plus Two High School, Piro, won second place, and Sonam Kumari, Middle School, Tar, won third place. In the music competition, Govind Kumar, a visually impaired child, won first place, and Prince Kumar, second place. In the essay writing competition, Pawan Kumar, a bone-handicapped child, won first place.

From the Inclusive Education Department, resource worker Shashi Bhushan Pandit, resource center in-charge Umashankar Pathak, resource teachers Dhananjay Kumar Pandey, Sachchidanand Singh, Bimla Kumari, Swati Kumari, Mo Meraj, Surendra Kumar Sharma, Sunil Kumar, Mo Zahid, and Wajida were present. Resource teacher Dhananjay Kumar Pandey conducted the program.
