DIPANKAR BHATTACHARYA REACHED JAWAINIA

ARA (RNI) A high-level CPI(ML) team led by CPI(ML) General Secretary Com. Dipankar Bhattacharya, State Secretary Kunal, Ara MP Sudama Prasad, Karakat MLA Arun Singh, Dumraon MLA Ajit Kumar Singh, Agiaon MLA Shivprakash Ranjan reached Jawainia village today. CPI(ML) district in-charge Abhyudaya, state committee member and former Ara candidate Qayamuddin Ansari, central committee member and editor of Lokyuddha Santosh Sahar, AIPWA leaders Indu Singh and Sangeeta Singh, educationist Professor DN Chaudhary, environmentalist Rajendra Prasad, Vishwanath Chaudhary, Shyamnand Singh, advocate Amit Kumar, Shahpur block secretary Harendra Singh, Nilashish Basu, Sudhir Singh, Dilraj Pritam, Ashok Kushwaha, Uttam Kumar, local comrade Harendra, Baiju Kushwaha, Vimal Singh, Dinanath Ram, Jhakhar Chaudhary, Surendra Paswan, Mukhiya representative Dinesh Yadav, Subas Bind, Siyaram Gond, and hundreds of activists and leaders accompanied them.

The leaders spent several hours there, interacting with the people of the erosion site, Jawainia, Nauranga village, and those living on the dam, assessing their problems. Ara MP Sudama Prasad said that a permanent dam should be built from Koilwar to Buxar, that erosion should be permanently addressed, that those who were confiscated by giving land papers should be returned, and that the promise of resettlement in Bilauti should be fulfilled.

Dipankar Bhattacharya said that the land and house list hasn't been completed in two and a half months, and names have been removed from it. We must fight to ensure that people on the entire list receive these benefits. He said that there will be attempts to close the langar under the pretext of the code of conduct. We must stop it. We must demand land for land, house for house.

The government should guarantee doctors, ambulances, and children's access to school. We will raise this demand at the district administration, state, and central government levels. RK Singh has been a minister continuously, but he did nothing. We do not discriminate based on caste or religion. We demand who is our voter and who is not. Everyone should get land, housing, and rehabilitation. We must remain united and be prepared for all kinds of protests to achieve our demands.

The Nitish Kumar government issued and then withdrew the land grants; this is an insult. We must remember this humiliation. The government is still doing nothing to stop the erosion, a grave crime.

During the conversation, villager Siyaram Gond spoke on behalf of the victims living on the dam. He said that relief is being exploited. Dalits and backward castes, the real victims, are not receiving benefits. One person in a family is listed, no one else. Mithila Devi, wife of Adesh Tiwari, said that everyone should get land and build houses. Narada Chaudhary asked that 64 families received land grants last year, but why haven't they been granted possession? They demand Aadhaar cards for both husband and wife, and KYC verification isn't even being done.

Leelavathi Devi's husband, Harendra Yadav, stated that her house collapsed while she was hospitalized, but her name has not yet been included in the compensation list.

Rambaran Chaudhary stated that they were taken to Nitish Kumar's rally, claiming they would receive land, but they have not yet received it. A protest was held on September 8th regarding this issue. Gond people are not included in this list.

Chief Subhash Chaudhary stated that the initial list included 226 people. The CO finalized 187 names, of which 111 received the money and 70 received land certificates.

Mukesh Chaudhary, Ward Member 4, and Vijay Rai, Ward Member 8, stated that none of the names were incorrect. They did not specify the basis for the rejection. Despite the promise, the promises were broken.
