If sources are to be believed, there are 14 + 1 sanitation workers in every ward, but in some wards only 5 to 6 workers are working. In the name of the remaining workers, the public representatives have appointed their relatives, even uncles, aunts, husbands, fathers, sons and nephews as sanitation workers. In whose name, the Municipal Corporation is paying lakhs of rupees every month through NGOs. This was also confirmed in the surprise inspection done by the Municipal Commissioner in many wards last year. But after the uproar, now this investigation has been put on hold and due to the closure of the investigation process, the cleanliness system of the city has collapsed again.
