Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary made a major and strong statement regarding the state's law and order situation. He said that approximately 60 percent of the crimes committed in Bihar are being orchestrated from inside jails. The state government is well aware of this fact and is taking action with full determination to effectively curb crime. He clearly stated that no mafia member will be spared. All mafia members will be sent to jail, and none will remain outside. No matter how powerful someone is, they cannot escape punishment for committing a crime. Criminals must fear the law, and the government is working in this direction.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary was speaking to reporters after the "Abhinandan Digha Workers' Felicitation Ceremony" held at the Digha Assembly office complex on Saturday. He said that the common people will soon see the results of the government's efforts. The government has accelerated its strategy to break the criminal network so that crimes being committed from within jails can also be completely controlled.
During this time, Samrat Choudhary also made a major announcement regarding the accused in the fodder scam. He said that the houses of those convicted in the fodder scam will be confiscated. Moreover, the government will open schools in these confiscated houses, where poor and needy children will be educated. He mentioned that this has been done before in Bihar in the case of a former DGP. His house was confiscated, and a school was opened there. Now, this same model will be applied to the houses of those accused in the fodder scam. The Deputy Chief Minister said that this step will be important both in terms of social justice and sending a moral message.
Earlier, while inaugurating the program, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said that the state government will focus especially on good governance, the rule of law, and job creation for the next five years. He informed that with this vision, the government decided to reopen 25 sugar mills in its very first cabinet meeting. This will not only benefit farmers but also create large-scale employment opportunities. He said that the dream of a developed Bihar will only be realized when the young people of Bihar who have gone outside the state in search of employment return home.
The Deputy Chief Minister also provided information on land disputes related to the Digha area. He said that the matter of a just resolution for a total of 1024.52 acres of land in Rajiv Nagar, Nepali Nagar, and Digha is now in its final stages. The government is striving to ensure justice for the common people and provide a permanent solution to the problems that have persisted for years.
At the event, State BJP President and Industry Minister Dilip Jaiswal said that along with good governance, industries will also be given priority in the state. The government is committed to establishing factories in every district, thereby creating local employment opportunities and accelerating economic development.
Road Construction Minister Nitin Naveen, in his address, said that the strength of the BJP lies in the fact that during elections, the party's candidates compete with each other for better performance, rather than with the opposition. He described this as a sign of the party's organizational strength. Agriculture Minister Ram Kripal Yadav, calling farmers the backbone of the state's economy, said that the government is continuously working to increase farmers' income and connect them with modern technology. Meanwhile, MP Ravi Shankar Prasad termed the allegations of vote rigging leveled by the opposition as an insult to the public and said that in a democracy, the people's verdict must be respected.
