ARA----------------------After the grand festival of public faith, the grand electoral festival is now underway in Bihar. The first phase of voting is underway. Meanwhile, a total of 16 delegates from seven countries have arrived in Bihar to closely observe the Bihar election campaign.
Under the Election Commission of India's (ECI) International Electoral Visitor Program (IEVP), 16 delegates from seven countries are observing the first phase of voting in the Bihar Assembly elections. The seven countries that have arrived in Bihar include Indonesia, Colombia, the Philippines, France, Belgium, South Africa, and Thailand.
The objective of these foreign delegates is to closely observe the conduct and transparency of elections in the world's largest democracy. The delegates, who have come under the International Electoral Visitor Program, are observing the Bihar elections. Representatives from the Philippines, part of the delegation, visited polling stations in Muzaffarpur district and reviewed the arrangements.
Under this program of the Election Commission, the delegates are observing all the arrangements made to conduct fair and safe elections. This includes operation of EVMs and preparations made at the booth.
