During the inspection (CM Nitish in action), the Chief Minister took stock of the rainfall situation in the state, the water level of rivers and the crop coverage.

PATNA-----------------------The Chief Minister inspected the Disaster Management Department and the State Emergency Operation Center and took information about the arrangements and working methods there. During the inspection (CM Nitish in action), the Chief Minister took stock of the rainfall situation in the state, the water level of rivers and the crop coverage.
During this, Development Commissioner cum Additional Chief Secretary of Disaster Management Department Pratyaya Amrit, while giving information about the rainfall situation in the state, said that there has been good rain in the state in the last 24 hours. 25 mm or more rainfall has been recorded in 222 blocks of the state. The water level of Ganga, Koshi and Budhi Gandak rivers has increased. The water level is around the danger mark but the situation is still under control.
He said that the paddy crop coverage percentage in the state is 79.43 percent till August 3. Last year by this time it was 67.38 percent. There is good rainfall in the state, due to which the groundwater level has also improved.
The Chief Minister said that the State Emergency Operations Center is a very useful center. This center, operated 24 hours by the Disaster Management Department, is working well, which is benefiting the people of the state. He said that due to good rainfall in the state, farmers are getting benefit in transplantation work. The concerned officers should be in alert mode (CM Nitish in action) regarding the rising water level of the rivers and keep all the necessary preparations complete as per the SOP. During the inspection, Development Commissioner cum Additional Chief Secretary of Disaster Management Department Pratyaya Amrit, Director General of Police Vinay Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. S. Siddharth, Secretary to the Chief Minister Anupam Kumar, Secretary of Disaster Management Department Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, Special Officer to the Chief Minister Gopal Singh, Secretary of Home Department Pranav Kumar, District Magistrate of Patna Dr. Tyagarajan SM and other senior officers of Home Department and Disaster Management Department were present.
