PATNA---------------------Chief Minister Nitish Kumar honored the players, chief coach, and assistant coaches of the Hero Asia Cup 2025 winning Indian hockey team with an honorarium of ₹10 lakh each, and an honorarium of ₹5 lakh each to the support staff, along with a citation.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also presented Indian hockey team captain Harmanpreet Singh with a symbolic check totaling ₹2.5 crore for the players and support staff. The Chief Minister congratulated the entire team on their remarkable victory and wished them a bright future.
During the ceremony, Indian hockey team captain Harmanpreet Singh said, "I express my heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for this honor. His love and passion for the game is inspiring to us." The people of Bihar have a special passion for hockey, which we have recognized. Under the leadership of the Honorable Chief Minister, Bihar has seen remarkable change, and the state is steadily progressing.
