PATNA-------------------------Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar today attended the dialogue program organized with the workers in the playground located behind Madhaura police station under Madhaura subdivision of Saran district.
While addressing the workers during this, the Chief Minister said that today I have got a chance to come here and talk to you for the site visit and commencement and foundation stone laying of the schemes of Pragati Yatra. It is a matter of great happiness that you all are present in large numbers in this worker dialogue. I congratulate all of you. You all know that the government before 2005 did not do any work for the development of Bihar, earlier the situation was very bad. When the NDA government was formed in Bihar on 24 November 2005, since then we are engaged in the development of Bihar and there is rule of law in the state. Rapid development is taking place in all areas. From the very beginning, special attention has been given to the field of education and health. Roads, bridges and culverts have been constructed on a large scale in the state. Under the Seven Nischay, the work of providing electricity to every house, tap water to every house, toilet to every house and connecting the toll plazas with paved roads has been completed. We have done the work of providing tap water to every house, toilet to every house, electricity to every house, construction of paved lanes and drains to every house etc. under the Seven Nischay scheme. It was decided to provide 10 lakh government jobs and 10 lakh employment to the youth in the year 2020. Till date, 10 lakh government jobs and 39 lakh employment have been provided to the youth. More than 50 lakh people will be given jobs and employment before the elections. We have now decided that one crore youth will be given jobs/employment in the next 5 years. He said that the budget of Bihar is continuously increasing. At the time of formation of the new government in the year 2005-06, the state budget was already only Rs 28 thousand crores, which was increased to Rs 34 thousand crores in the year 2006-07 and it has continuously increased to more than Rs 3 lakh 16 thousand crores now.
The Chief Minister said that some new decisions have been taken recently. Under the Social Security Pension Scheme, the amount of pension received by all the elderly, disabled people and widowed women per month has been increased from Rs 400 to Rs 1100. 1 crore 12 lakh people are benefiting from this. Before the year 2005, the condition of electricity supply in Bihar was very pathetic. There was almost no electricity supply in rural areas, in the capital Patna, there was a maximum of 8 hours of electricity supply per day. We provided electricity to every house in the year 2018 itself. Electricity was provided by the government at a very cheap rate right from the beginning. Now electricity is being provided free of cost to almost all domestic consumers. Solar panels will be installed at the homes of all interested people by the government. Recently, a new scheme 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana' has been approved for women's employment, in which a woman from every household will be given an amount of Rs 10,000 to start employment. Those whose employment will go well will also be given additional assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh. This work will start from this September. Free land and special assistance will be given to set up new industries in Bihar.
In the budget of July, 2024, a large amount was announced to be given to Bihar as special economic assistance for roads, industry, health, tourism, flood control. In the budget of February, 2025, Makhana Board, establishment of airport, financial assistance for Western Kosi Canal etc. have been announced in Bihar. Khelo India Youth Games were organized by the Central Government in some states of the country from the year 2018. This year Khelo India Youth Games were organized in Bihar, which is a matter of pride. We express our gratitude to the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for all these works.

We have also done a lot of work for the Muslim community. Madrasas have been given government recognition and their teachers have been given equal status as government teachers. The fencing of graveyards has been started since 2006. Graveyards have been fenced on a large scale. Now there is no dispute or hassle. Since 2016, Hindu temples older than 60 years are being fenced. The Chief Minister said that Bihar is developing rapidly, more work will be done in future. I request all the workers to go door-to-door and tell people about the development of Bihar.
