PATNA---------------------------Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced the implementation of "Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package 2025 (BIPPP-2025)" to give new impetus to industries in Bihar.

Under this package, industries will get many big incentives: Interest subsidy up to Rs 40 crore. Reimbursement of SGST up to 300% of the approved project cost to new units, for 14 years. Capital subsidy up to 30%. Export promotion: Up to Rs 40 lakh every year for 14 years. Help in skill development, environmental protection, renewable energy, stamp duty, land conversion fee, industrial park, patent registration and quality certification. Big incentive in land allocation. Free land up to 10 acres to units investing more than Rs 100 crore and employing more than 1000 people. Free land up to 25 acres to units investing more than Rs 1000 crore. Fortune 500 companies will also be given free land up to 10 acres.

If investors want to take advantage of this scheme, they will have to apply before March 31, 2026. The government claims that this package is likely to provide jobs and employment to 1 crore youth in the next 5 years.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the objective of this initiative is to give impetus to industries in Bihar, provide employment to the youth in the state itself and make them self-reliant.

Today the Bihar Cabinet approved the acquisition of 1,927.50 acres of land for the expansion of industrial area in 6 districts, on which ₹ 797.12 crore will be spent.

Bhojpur (Ara) – 249.48 acres, Sheikhpura – 250.06 acres, Rohtas – 492.85 acres, Shivhar – 270.01 acres, Darbhanga – 385.45 acres, Purnia – 279.65 acres. 249.48 acres of land of five mauzas under Tarari zone of Bhojpur (Ara) district will be acquired. For this, the state government has approved to start the acquisition process through Infrastructure Development Authority, Patna and spend the estimated amount of ₹52,62,22,910 (about Rs 52.62 crore).
