DELHI---------------------------The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, successfully organized a bike rally on September 17, 2025, to commemorate Ayurveda Day 2025. This year's theme was "Ayurveda for the People, Ayurveda for the Earth," highlighting the role of Ayurveda in health promotion and environmental balance.
The rally was flagged off from the Institute campus by Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Prajapati, Director, AIIA. Present to grace the occasion were former Director (in-charge), Prof. (Dr.) Manjusha Rajgopal, various Heads of Departments, faculty members, postgraduate and PhD scholars, and Institute officials and staff.
Participants took out a bike rally from the AIIA campus to the Ministry of AYUSH, carrying flags displaying the Ayurveda Day logo and theme. The rally symbolized a collective commitment to preventive healthcare and environmental protection.
On this occasion, Director Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kumar Prajapati said, "This rally reflects Ayurveda's eternal message of 'balance,' not only for personal health but also for harmony with nature. Through such events, we aim to inspire youth and citizens to adopt Ayurveda as a way of life."
The rally served as an effective prelude to National Ayurveda Day, which is celebrated on September 23rd. Recently, the Government of India designated this date as Ayurveda Day annually, so that it can be celebrated equally at the national and international levels. This date falls on the Autumnal Equinox, which symbolizes the balance of nature and reflects the core philosophy of Ayurveda.
The Ministry of AYUSH and AIIA are committed to integrating Ayurveda into mainstream healthcare systems and sustainable lifestyles through ongoing awareness programs, training initiatives, and collaborative activities.
