PATNA-------------------------There was chaos on Sunday evening near Biscoman Golambar in Patna city when there was an encounter between the criminal and the police. During this, notorious criminal Vijay Sahni fired at the police, after which the police retaliated. Vijay Sahni was injured due to bullet injury in the encounter. After which the police caught him and admitted him to NMCH (Nalanda Medical College Hospital) for treatment. SSP Kartikeya Sharma said that Vijay Sahni is wanted in two dozen cases. He has been involved in criminal activities for a long time and many serious cases are registered against him. As soon as the information of the incident was received, many senior police officers including Patna SSP reached the spot and inquired about the situation. Regarding the encounter, SSP Mr. Sharma said that more than 20 cases including murder, robbery, dacoity, Arms Act were registered against Vijay Sahni. This year, he had killed hotel businessman Santosh in public. After this, a video of Vijay Sahni with a weapon in his hand also went viral. Police say that Vijay Sahni had fired first, after which the police had to open fire in self-defense. On hearing the news of the encounter, panic spread among the people in the surrounding area. Police surrounded the entire area and additional forces were deployed on the spot. At present, the situation is under control, but search operation is going on in the area. Notorious Vijay Sahni has been involved in many criminal incidents in Patna and surrounding areas. Police believe that his arrest will help in curbing crime. Police has taken this action in Alamganj police station area. City Superintendent of Police Parichay Kumar and DSP Rajkishore Singh reached the spot and investigated the matter. The city Superintendent of Police said that more than one and a half dozen criminal cases are registered against Vijay Sahni who was injured by police bullets. He is accused of many serious cases including murder, robbery and dacoity. Sources are also saying that the police was also looking for Vijay Sahni in the Gopal Khemka murder case. In the encounter, criminal Vijay Sahni was shot in the right leg. These days the number of encounters has increased rapidly in the state. Criminals who attack the police are no longer being spared. Recently, encounters took place in two districts. In which criminals were injured by police bullets. One case is also related to Patna. On Saturday, there was an encounter between Patna Police and criminals on Nisarpura Canal Road. The accused in the sand trader Ramakant Yadav murder case was arrested by the police. When he tried to escape, the police shot him in the leg. On Saturday also, an encounter took place in Siwan. There was an encounter between police and criminals near Bhatapokhar in Siwan. In which Siwan Police arrested Lucky Tiwari along with 8 criminals. He was shot and injured. Lucky Tiwari was shot in the leg. Many such encounters have taken place recently.
