PATNA--------------------------Before the assembly elections in Bihar, Prashant Kishore's party Jan Suraj Party is continuously increasing its political strength. It is trying to create a new political identity in Bihar apart from NDA and India Alliance. On Friday, Bhojpuri singer Ritesh Pandey and former Himachal Pradesh cadre IPS officer Jaiprakash Singh took membership of Jan Suraj Party.

Former ADGP of Himachal Pradesh and Saran (Chapra) resident JP Singh has joined Jan Suraj. He recently said goodbye to the police service by taking voluntary retirement (VRS). In this episode, Bhojpuri superstar and famous singer Ritesh Pandey has also joined Jan Suraj.

This series of entry of new faces in the party is not new. A few days ago, famous YouTuber Manish Kashyap left the Bharatiya Janata Party and joined the Jan Suraj Party. Prashant Kishore himself gave him party membership. At the same time, the participation of former officers in Jan Suraj is continuously increasing. Former IPS officer Anand Mishra, who had earlier contested the Lok Sabha elections from Buxar, also joined the party. However, in recent times he has been seen away from the party's activities. Former Union Minister RCP Singh, who was once the closest leader to Nitish Kumar, also joined the Jan Suraj Party a few days ago and merged his party with Prashant Kishore's party.

It is worth noting that Prashant Kishore formally announced the Jan Suraj Party on 2 October 2023. Before this, he directly communicated with the public by walking across the state for two years. He has announced that the Jan Suraj Party will contest all 243 assembly seats in Bihar. The party has also been allotted the "school bag" election symbol from the Election Commission. Prashant Kishore is constantly presenting Jan Suraj as an alternative to the NDA and the Grand Alliance.
