ARA MAYOR MET THE CM FOR THE PURCHASE OF NEW LIGHTS

ARA--------------------------Mayor Indu Devi's representative Prem Pankaj alias Lallan and his son Pratik Raj met the state's Urban Development and Housing Department Minister Jivesh Kumar Mishra regarding guidance for the purchase of new lights in Ara Municipal Corporation.

During this, Mayor representative Prem Pankaj told the minister that the department has given the responsibility of installing and repairing LED lights in all the wards under Ara Municipal Corporation to EESL company. For this work, the company is paid by the Municipal Corporation on the basis of the bill received from them till now.

According to the agreement, the company is being very negligent in the repair work and the work is not being done satisfactorily. The lights installed by the company have almost become defective due to non-repair. The members of the empowered standing committee of the Municipal Corporation had also raised their voice regarding this.

It has been requested not to pay the remaining amount of the company. The image of the Municipal Corporation is getting tarnished due to the company not taking proper care.

It is known that the department has sent a letter and directed that till the outstanding bill of EESL company is not paid, new lights cannot be purchased. He has requested the minister to kindly provide guidance for purchasing new lights at his level.
