In this series of arrests, the Patna Police have apprehended another most-wanted and rewarded criminal, Subodh Rai, from Ludhiana.

PATNA---------------------------Criminals who challenge the Bihar Police are now in for a tough time. Since the formation of the new government, the crackdown on criminals has intensified, and most-wanted criminals are being arrested continuously. In this series of arrests, the Patna Police have apprehended another most-wanted and rewarded criminal, Subodh Rai, from Ludhiana.
Subodh Rai has several cases registered against him, including murder, robbery, extortion, and violations of the Arms Act. He was absconding in a case from Maner, but based on a tip-off, the police arrested him from Ludhiana. The Patna Police had also announced a reward of ₹25,000 for his capture.
It is reported that he continuously committed crimes to establish dominance in the Diara area, creating terror throughout the region. He and his associates also extorted money from fishermen and frequently fired shots to spread fear. A case under the Arms Act and for extortion was also registered against him at the Digha police station.
It is noteworthy that Subodh Rai's name was also on the list of the top 40 criminals recently compiled by the Patna Police. Several of Subodh Rai's close associates are also on this list, although they are currently absconding. Before Subodh Rai, the Patna Police had also arrested three other major criminals, each carrying a reward of ₹25,000.
