ARA---------------------------The story of Avinash Sharan, who studied in a small town in Bihar, is an inspiration for every student who considers themselves ordinary or average. Avinash wasn't a topper since childhood. When his 10th grade results came out, he scored only 44.7%. He scored 65% in 12th grade and 60% in graduation. Most students would compromise on their dreams after such scores, but Avinash didn't give up.

His dream was to become an IAS officer, and he never let it fade away. The journey wasn't easy. He tried his luck in numerous competitive exams. He failed the state PCS exam 10 times, and also failed in exams like CDS and CPF. So many failures could have broken anyone, but Avinash took each defeat as a lesson and grew stronger.

In his first attempt at the UPSC, he reached the interview stage, but his name didn't appear on the final list. Many would have given up at that point, but he didn't lose courage. In his second attempt, he achieved what everyone thought was impossible. He secured the 77th rank all India and became an IAS officer in 2009.

Today, Awanish Sharan serves in the Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh and has become an example for millions of youth. His story proves that marks don't determine your ability; rather, consistent hard work, patience, and a spirit of unwavering determination are the true hallmarks.

He advises UPSC aspirants to limit themselves to relevant books and notes while preparing, maintain consistency in their studies, and avoid distractions like social media. His teachings remind every student that failure is the first step to success.

Awanish Sharan's journey is proof that no matter how big your dreams are, they can be realized if you are determined.
