ARA--------------------------On the occasion of Anti-Human Trafficking Day, all the major stakeholders associated with the field of child protection and child rights came together in a program organized in Bhojpur district on the initiative of Disha Ek Prayas. A big event in this regard was held in the Red Cross Society auditorium in which a large number of enlightened youth and people associated with various organizations were present. Secretary Dr. Sunita Singh said that in this program, Assistant Director and Child Protection Officer of Child Protection Unit, Labor Superintendent and Labor Enforcement Officer from Labor Department, Project Manager One Step, Supervisor Child Line Bhojpur, Secretary of Red Cross Society, media personnel, and representatives of Member Vishesh Adoption Institute participated and unanimously accepted that there is a dire need for all agencies and departments to take action together to deal with child trafficking i.e. trafficking of children so that the fear of law can be created in trafficking gangs. The organization Disha Ek Prayas is a partner organization of Just Rights for Children (JRC), the country's largest network of more than 250 civil society organizations for the protection and protection of child rights in the country and is working for the protection of child rights in Bhojpur district. JRC is continuously working to ensure the safety and justice of children who are victims of child labor, child trafficking, child marriage and child sexual abuse.

Discussing the challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in dealing with child trafficking, the officials present in the program collectively agreed that it is urgent to increase awareness about the existing laws, sensitize vulnerable sections about trafficking gangs and their modus operandi and strengthen coordination between all agencies, so that justice and rehabilitation can be ensured within the stipulated time frame for the rescued children. Let us tell you that in July, Disha Ek Prayas, in collaboration with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), ran a campaign at railway stations to make people aware about child trafficking. Since trafficking gangs often use the rail route to transport children to other states, the focus of the campaign was to sensitize passengers, railway personnel, vendors, shopkeepers and porters to identify signs of child trafficking and report suspected cases safely.
