ACCUSED SENTENCED TO 2 YEARS IN PRISON

BHABHUA------------------------In the court of Dr. Shail A.C.G.M. V, Civil Court Bhabhua, Kaimur, the accused, Vishnu Prasad Gupta, son of Nirmal Shah, resident of Samaharta village, Shivsagar police station, Rohtas district, Sasaram, was sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment under Section 304A of the Indian Penal Code and 6 months of imprisonment under Section 279 of the Indian Penal Code for causing the death of Manoj Bind, son of late Sukh Govind, resident of Manihari village, Bhabhua police station, Kaimur district, by hitting him with a Bolero vehicle while he was riding a motorcycle. The prosecution, represented by Assistant Public Prosecutor Dinesh Mishra and Public Prosecutor Shubham Mishra, stated that the complainant, Anil Kumar, son of Rambachan Singh, resident of Pangaiya village, Sonhan police station, Kaimur district, stated that on December 27, 2014, at 11:30 AM, he was going to Sasaram with his uncle Manoj Bind, son of late Sukh Govind, on a Bajaj motorcycle. Near Akodhi village in the Sonhan police station area, the accused Vishnu Prasad Gupta hit their motorcycle with his Bolero vehicle, resulting in the death of his uncle Manoj Bind at the scene due to the injuries sustained.  A First Information Report (FIR) was registered at Sonhan police station under case number 596 of 2014 based on the complainant's statement. The defense counsel for the accused was Prahlad Singh.
